... Daft fandom birthday cake time!

I turned 21 again yesterday (much fun was had by all) and with the start of Forbrydelsen II on BBC4 tonight, this year's cake theme was something of a no-brainer. Even though you guys never got to see the original and Sarah Linden's jumpers were some nasty polyester knock-off, I hope you can still appreciate the sheer artistry and bloody-minded determination that went into the creation of this masterpiece!

Oh! Belated Happy Birthday hon'! All I know at the moment is that we're sometimes in November. That is one awesome cake. Must have taken forever to do all those little patterns.

Tak! We are indeed sometime in November. Quite late November now. Apparently, it's Christmas (according to all the shops). It took her pretty much the entire day to do those patterns. I did drag her out of the kitchen for a swim and then a nice meal in the evening though :-)

Fabulous cake! I LOVED "The Killing" here in America, but I read that it really didn't live up to the original at all. Then we got the season finale with an ending that really wasn't an ending at all. Gah!

I watched a couple of eps of the remake and then gave it up as a bad job. I was never going to be able to be objective about it, but I really didn't think it was up to much. I heard about the non-ending as well. Oops. Way to piss off your fanbase!

LOL my thanks for your jaw-dropped good wishes, my dear. The cake was indeed a thing of wonder but sadly has now mostly been demolished (i.e eaten!) Long live fandom cakes!
