That and the Sarah/John interaction that followed. Her boy's growing up, Sarah knows, but there are some things that one's may just never want to see.
John is growing up. I wanted to move him away from Season 2's little pissant and towards someone we/Sarah could actually love again. I have no clue what the hell the writers were going for with S2 John, but I certainly didn't want to write him that way.
