Re: Under the Influence of TSCC

Caroline, you did a great job with this. It's the kind of thing that probably wouldn't have been broadcast, or left in a PG-13 movie, which is part of what I liked about it.

Thanks, and you're probably right about that. The show was always operating under the constraints of 42 minutes running time which always leaves us fans with gaps to fill in! It just annoyed me that Sarah made such a super-quick recovery. If they're going to set their next episode two days down the line, then the girl at least needs to have a bit of a limp ;-)

I have to ask though: would an infection really have manifestered (intentional) so quickly?

Heh. To be honest, I'm not certain. I was kinda working with the fact that the bullet had been in her leg for a good few hours by the time it was removed and that Super!Doc probably never got the chance to clean the wound track properly (i.e. half of Sarah's trousers and a whole lot of crap would have been festering in there for a good while.) In terms of time, I might have taken a wee bit of dramatic license, but she'd have gotten an infection at some point.

It seems to me that you'd be a good team member to have on a wilderness whitewater trip.

*laughs* I'd be useless without my bag of tricks. I'd just hang onto the raft sides and scream like a girl ;-)
