I've acquired and watched and enjoyed the first episode.
Then you are officially the coolest woman on the planet ;-) Any joy getting hold of the second?
I've set my dvr for the AMC version tonight so we'll see.
I watched it yesterday. Well, the first episode at least. That was enough for me, I think. The word "abomination" is quite strong, but it comes damn close! I know I'm entirely biased and I expected to dislike the AMC version but Linden spent the entire episode looking either constipated or as if there was a particularly foul smell just beneath her nose, alt.Meyer is a complete arsehole (as is alt.Morton for some reason, I have no idea where they're going with him) and it was just all so bloody loud! I LOLed when Linden announced "I'm not one for words" within the first five minutes (just in case you hadn't realised she was all intuitive and shit) and then spent the rest of the damn episode yapping. I don't think Sofie Gråbøl has anything to worry about there...
I went back and watched the first Danish ep, just to see whether I was being too harsh but it's such a beautifully crafted piece of television and AMC seem to have missed the point entirely. They couldn't even get the bloody jumpers right... ;-)
